More than 400 volunteers gathered in Southeast Iowa to participate in the annual Project A.W.A.R.E (A Watershed Awareness
River Expedition) program. Volunteers jumped right into the outdoors by canoeing, camping and 'roughing it' to clean up the
Raccoon River. In total, the group pulled 26 tons of trash from the river.
