Trail beautification

The Linn Country Trails Association converted approximately 4.5 acres of turf grass at the Sac and Fox Trail head in Cedar Rapids. The area was sprayed with Roundup to remove existing vegetation.  Then, a no-till drill was used to plant a mixture of native prairie grasses and forbes directly into the treated area. Users of the trail now enjoy native wildflowers and grasses as they utilize the trail throughout the year.
