Volunteer Opportunities
One of the major activities of RCRV is assistive technology, which utilizes the technically creative talents of many Rockwell
Collins retirees.
The applications for assistive technology are virtually unlimited. Examples include designing and constructing a special electrical
switch needed by an elderly person with arthritis, designing games which bring joy to children with disabilities, and creating
devices used by retired engineers to teach young school children about the basics of science.
This is a unique program RCRV can offer the community because of the many retired engineers, technicians and craftsmen with
experience in electrical and mechanical design and manufacture of electronics equipment.
Assistive technology projects are provided through community agencies. For a complete listing of projects, including photos
and drawings, go to www.collinsclubs.com/rcrv.
Other programs involving RCRV include the Rockwell Collins K-12 Partnership Program, The REACT Center and partnering with
RSVP to fill other volunteer placements in our communities.
